Thank you for ordering from Letters From A Friend Abroad. This page explains when letters are sent, how long delivery may take, and what to do if your letter is delayed, lost, damaged, or you need to cancel.

Order Cut-Off

Orders placed by the 30th of the month will receive the next month’s letter.

For example:

Orders placed by June 30 receive the July letter.
Orders placed on July 1 or later begin with the August letter.

Once the monthly cut-off has passed, that month’s letter is closed and becomes part of the archive.

When Letters Are Mailed

Letters are mailed between the 14th and 18th of each month.

Once letters have been prepared, signed, sealed, stamped, and shipped, that month’s order can no longer be canceled or refunded unless there is an issue with damage, loss, or an incorrect order.

Where Letters Ship From

Letters may ship from Tbilisi, Stockholm, or Belgrade, depending on where I am when that month’s letters are prepared.

Estimated Delivery Time

Estimated delivery is 4–6 weeks.

Because this is international mail, delivery times can vary depending on postal services, customs, holidays, weather, local delays, and other things outside my control.

Tracking

Letters are sent by standard mail unless otherwise stated.

Standard mail may not include tracking, which means I may not be able to see exactly where your letter is or the exact day it is delivered.

Lost or Damaged Mail

If your letter arrives damaged or does not arrive, please contact me at lettersfromafriendabroad@gmail.com

I will send a replacement letter where possible.

Cancellations

Monthly Subscriptions

You may cancel your monthly subscription before that month’s letter has shipped.

Once the letter has shipped, that month’s payment is no longer refundable.

Canceling your monthly subscription stops future renewal charges.

Seasonal and Annual Correspondence

Seasonal and Annual Correspondence plans are prepaid.

Once the first letter has shipped, these plans are non-refundable.

You may cancel your plan so it does not automatically renew, if automatic renewal applies.

Canceling does not refund letters that have already been paid for or shipped.

One-Off Letter Orders

One-off letter orders may be canceled before the letter has shipped.

Once the letter has shipped, the order is no longer refundable unless the letter is lost, damaged, or incorrect.

Address Changes

Please make sure your shipping address is correct when you place your order.

If your address changes, contact me as soon as possible at lettersfromafriendabroad@gmail.com

I cannot guarantee changes after letters have been prepared or shipped.

EU Customers

If you are located in the EU, you may have consumer rights under EU law, including a possible 14-day withdrawal period for online purchases. For goods bought online, EU guidance says this period generally begins when the goods are delivered.

Because Letters From A Friend Abroad is sent by international post and may not include tracking, I may not always know the exact date your letter is delivered.

If you are an EU customer and wish to cancel, withdraw from a purchase, or ask a question about your order, please contact me as soon as possible at lettersfromafriendabroad@gmail.com

If your letter has not yet shipped, I can cancel and refund your order.

If your letter has already shipped, please contact me and I will review the situation based on the timing, the type of order, and any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.
