What exactly is Letters From A Friend Abroad?It's a monthly letter from my life abroad, sent to wherever you are.
Each envelope includes a personal letter, a curated postcard, a small something from the place, memory, or story, something I'm loving that month, an audio version of the letter, and my signature before it leaves my desk.
Is this a travel newsletter?No.
This isn't a travel guide, a list of things to do, or a highlight reel.
It's the real version. The stories, observations, cultural confusion, ordinary moments, and little details that somehow stay with me long after they happen.
When do I need to order by?Orders placed by the 30th of the month will receive the following month's letter.
For example, if you order by June 30, you'll receive the July letter.
Orders placed on July 1 will begin with the August letter.
When are letters mailed?Letters are mailed between the 6 and 8th of each month.
How long does shipping take?Letters are shipped internationally and typically arrive within 4–6 weeks.
Sometimes they're faster. Sometimes the postal system decides to keep things exciting.
What happens if my letter doesn't arrive?Please contact me.
If your letter is lost or arrives damaged, I'll send a replacement where possible.
Can I cancel my subscription?Yes.
Monthly subscriptions can be canceled before that month's letter ships.
Seasonal and Annual Correspondence can be canceled to prevent renewal, but they become non-refundable once the first letter has shipped.
Why the bird?Because some lives are built around leaving and returning.
The bird reminds me of migration, memory, and the way we carry pieces of one place into the next.
It felt like home for this project.

Is the mail tracked?Usually not.
Letters are sent through standard postal services unless otherwise stated.
Why do you ask for my birthday?Only Annual Correspondence includes a birthday letter.
I ask for your birthday month and day so I know when to send it.
I don't need your birth year.
Do I need to read every letter in order?Not at all.
Each letter stands on its own.
